Minute of Silence

As required by State statute, our classrooms will observe a brief, one-minute pause for quiet reflection at the start of each school day.

The Daily Routine: Every morning at or near the start of the school day, students and staff will take a 60-second period of silence.

What Students Can Do: Kids can spend this time sitting quietly, reflecting, or doing any silent activity that doesn't distract classmates.

Parent Involvement: We encourage you to talk with your child at home about how they’d like to spend this quiet minute each morning.

Keeping the Peace: To ensure everyone gets a quiet moment, disruptions during this time aren't allowed and may result in standard disciplinary steps.

Official Background: This short daily pause is required across the state by Idaho Code and follows District Policy 2353.
